Anne and her husband Michael, who is also a visual artist, photographed hundreds of objects from her collection and from Michael’s studio to create a narrative based on the relationship of one object to another. The woman in the red dress is an HO scaled model from a train set Michael had as a child. She became the protagonist in a loose story about loss and progress. Anne created a set out of found objects, foam, cast paper and polymer clay.
Michael printed these photographs on paper, animated them, and selected the best frames for singular prints on archival paper. The result is a complete exhibition of works on paper and animation titled Currents.
